By accessing and using Protectix ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Protectix is an AI-powered SaaS platform designed for financial professionals in UK protection planning. The Platform provides:

  • Agentix™: AI Research Assistant for protection product queries
  • Selectix™: Product comparison and matching tool
  • Research, comparison, and analysis tools
  • Workflow automation and organization features

3. Important Limitations

3.1 Not Regulated Advice

IMPORTANT: Protectix does NOT provide regulated financial advice, recommendations, or suitability assessments. The Platform is a research and workflow tool only.

  • We do not make product recommendations
  • We do not provide suitability advice
  • We do not generate quotes or underwriting decisions
  • All outputs are for informational and research purposes only

3.2 Professional Responsibility

You remain solely responsible for:

  • Conducting your own due diligence and research
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations
  • Providing appropriate advice to your clients
  • Verifying all information before relying on it

4. User Accounts and Eligibility

4.1 Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a financial professional or working in the UK protection industry
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

4.2 Account Types

We offer several account types:

  • Trial: Limited access for evaluation purposes (14-day trial)
  • Individual: Single-user professional account
  • Principal (Company): Multi-user firm accounts with team management
  • Enterprise: Large organizations with custom requirements

5. Subscriptions and Billing

5.1 Payment Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice

5.2 Credit System

  • AI features (Agentix and Selectix) use a credit-based system
  • Credits are allocated based on your subscription tier
  • Additional credits can be purchased as needed
  • Credits do not roll over between billing periods (unless otherwise specified)

5.3 Free Trial

  • New users receive a 14-day free trial with limited credits
  • No payment information required for trial
  • Trial automatically expires unless upgraded to a paid plan

6. Acceptable Use

6.1 You Agree NOT To:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any FCA regulations or professional standards
  • Attempt to bypass security measures or access controls
  • Reverse engineer or extract our proprietary data
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized users
  • Use automated systems to scrape or extract data
  • Submit false, misleading, or malicious information

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform are owned by Protectix and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content
  • You may not use our branding or trademarks
  • Reports generated using the Platform may be used for your professional purposes only

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We do not store sensitive client health data
  • AI interactions are processed securely
  • You can export or delete your data at any time
  • We comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • You use the Platform at your own risk
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on Platform outputs

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROTECTIX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
  • Professional liability or regulatory consequences
  • Damages exceeding the fees paid in the 12 months prior to the claim

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Fail to pay subscription fees
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Create risk for other users or the Platform

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email with 30 days notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
